Can you stake LOOM?

Is LOOM staking possible? If so, how many LOOM do you need and how to do it? Thanks.

No, Loom is not mineable or stakeable. There is a fixed supply of 1 billion total tokens.

What is the validator/"staking" that is mentioned in LOOM's medium post:

I just found in LOOM's medium post, they state the following:

"Validator election & staking via DPoS
For the initial launch, we’ll be running the validators ourselves, but after we’ve been stably running in production for some time, we plan to allow other parties who hold a sufficient number of LOOM tokens to run validators to increase the decentralization of the network."

I'm hoping for clarification from someone more knowledgeable about the amount required and the process of becoming a validator/staker/whatever you want to call it. Thank you.

That would be validating/staking a loom sidechain by running a DPOS node which may or may not reward you with the sidechain token not loom itself.

Guess the details and the amounts can be found in this blog post: https://medium.com/loom-network/announcing-zombiechain-an-eos-like-dpos-sidechain-for-ethereum-dapps-e0eba6c244da.

"In order to deploy a DApp to ZombieChain, developers will need to stake at least 10 LOOM tokens."
