Blockahins are based on distributed systems theory, a subject that most universities already address. So, if you are a student, you can use this knowledge and learn by yourself about smart contracts and the other concepts that are specific to the blockchain.

Currently, universities face two important challenges:
- the blockchain technology is very young and it is hard to find experts capable of teaching the students.
- the blockchain is developing with an incredible speed. Thus, almost any course will soon be outdated :)

Despite the challenges, some universities are already offering blockchain courses. A Google search will bring a lot of useful results.
