Is it easy to create and deploy a coin/token?

Developing Smart Contracts seem scary, Are they?

It can be intimidating at first, but it is no different than learning any other programming language/dev environment. Building and deploying a coin/token is very easy these days, see this answer for more info: https://delegatecall.com/questions/how-to-create-our-own-erc20-tokencd911481-42c5-4402-acf6-4c17b8cea325

Building dapps requires additional skills, I would say it's similar to the skills that a full-stack web developer has. Blockchain dapp development requires front end skills, backend skills, and dev ops/deployment skills.

I would encourage you to jump in and start playing around! Loom Network's own CryptoZombies is a great starting point.

Developing smart contracts is easy, making sure they are bug free is scary when you realize your smart contract and you are responsible for ETH. :)

Not at all! Providing you make use of Testnets when developing to make sure your contracts work as you'd expect before deploying to mainnet :)

Jump onto the CryptoZombies couse and learn the basics: https://cryptozombies.io/course/

If you're still hungry for more, maybe think about looking at https://www.udemy.com/cryptodoggies

Whatever you do, seriously just give it a go! You won't regret learning how to do it and it's a blast
