Is the SocialChain differrent from the PlasmaChain?

I have saw the picture of the technology architecture that Delegatecall is constructed on the socialchain which is different from plasmachain. I considered that Karma is different from Token Loom which can be transferred into ERC20 through plasmacash. Is that correct?

Karma is just a reputation counter but can be converted to DelegateCall tokens, which are ERC20. Once you have DelegateCall tokens, they can be redeemed for LOOM.

Hope this helps!

What is the significance of DelegateCall using SocialChain? Why does it not just use PlasmaChain?

All 3 (SocialChain, DlegateCall, and PlasmaChain are sidechains on the LOOM network, but work differently for different purposes. Another link: https://www.ethnews.com/loom-network-expands-with-3-sidechains
