Loom are an ERC20 token built on ethereum platform. The safest way to store ERC Tokens are hardware wallets such as nano ledger, trezor etc. Alternatively you can store your loom tokens on a paper wallet which you need to keep safe and protect from degradation over time. If you want to read more about how to keep your funds safe, you can read my article found at the following link: https://medium.com/@Cryptoctave/crypto-wallets-or-how-to-keep-my-funds-secure-df57b7d3755c
If you wish to buy a hardware wallet, i have included a few links below:

It also depends on what you want to do with them.

Let me explain.

A paper or hardware wallet is the most secure way to store them. If you plan to use a portion of the tokens or potentially transfer them you may want to consider using metamask for storage. Metamask is an ERC-20 storage solution designed to support using Dapp tokens like Loom.

If you do use Metamask to optimize security you should:

  1. Get a new PC you will only use for storing crypto tokens like Loom
  2. Install a VPN
  3. Install Firefox from a clean never used USB drive
  4. Set up Metamask on Firefox
  5. Send Loom and other tokens there
  6. Use this computer infrequently exclusively for the activity needed to manage the tokens you hold like Loom

*If you already have some Ethereum you can purchase Loom tokens from a Decentralized Exchange like uniswap and avoid interaction with a centralized exchange entirely.

I have been using the Enjin Wallet on my smartphone. In my opinion, Enjin is a pretty safe wallet. You can store your Loom Networks token in the Enjin Wallet.
Cheers!

Safest wallet is a hardware wallet like ledger nano S. It maybe possible to store cryptos safely in newer phones like Samsung Galaxy S-10, or a Finney phone from Sirin Labs, in the near future.
